In Claremont, just off the 57 and 210 freeways, you can find the Raymond M. Alf Museum of Paleontology. This museum is the only one of its kind on a high school campus anywhere! The picture above, by artist Larry Felder, is a rendering of what a recently found collection of fossils might look like. The team from the Webb School (where the Alf Museum is located) discovered the site where the bones of this dinosaur were found! Check out dinosaur eggs, a fossil alligator skull, and more! The museum is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.and admission is just $3 per person (children 4 and under are free) but admission is FREE on Wednesdays (the museum is closed on the weekends during the summer). For more information, visit the Alf Museum.
